Turning waste into style: The future of fashion is upcycling!

Have you ever thought that that super cool t-shirt you love to wear could have been made with materials that other brands would throw away? Well, here at BAUY, we do exactly that. Our goal is to give new life to fabrics that would otherwise end up in the trash, but still have a lot to give.

1- One of the surplus warehouses of other brands.

While big brands waste tons of materials, we go there and transform what would be "waste" into incredible pieces. And no, we don't work with giant factories or with the exploitation of cheap labor. Quite the opposite! Our pieces are made by talented seamstresses who have their own workshops. They don't have a fixed salary, they sell us their services for the price they deserve. It's fair and straightforward, as it should be everywhere.

2- Recycling of haberdashery.

Did you know that 97% of our products are produced in Portugal? That's right! Only 3% comes from other countries, and this allows us to support the local economy, reduce our ecological footprint and maintain quality control close to home.

3- D. Linda, cut.

Our process is simple: we take what factories or brands don't want, such as leftover fabrics or surpluses from collections, and create unique pieces. And when we say we don't waste anything, we mean it: we use every last inch of fabric for details on clothes, scrunchies, eyeglass bags and much more. Our creativity has no limits!

4- One of our seamstresses.

Because we work with surplus, BAUY collections always have limited units. We may have a lot of stock of the same piece or just 4 or 5 units, it all depends on the size of the rolls of fabric we buy.

5- Cutting workshop.

On our website you can find all these exclusive products, easily identified ♻️.

The best part? When you wear one of our pieces, you are part of a movement that fights waste, supports fair work and values those who really make fashion happen: the people behind the sewing machines.

Here, style is not just about what you wear, but also about the choices you make. Do you want to change the world?

Start with your wardrobe!
